Welcome to the Welsh Urological Society

The Welsh Urology Society is an organisation incorporating all Urology Consultants, trainees and specialist nurses working in Wales.

The society organises two meetings a year, hosted alternately by centres in the north and south of the region. These meetings usually consist of a half-day of professional development and/or registrar teaching sessions, recently including - laparoscopic dry labs, training the trainer courses, structured debating sessions etc. A half-day session is also devoted to research presentations with a prize being awarded to the best presentation (accepted presentations are published in Proceedings of the Welsh Urology Society booklet). There is also a Consultants' business meeting and a strong social element, culminating in an evening event.

The chairman of the Welsh Urology Society is Malcolm Lucas who is currently a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Morriston Hospital in Swansea.

The honorary secretary of the Welsh Urological Society is Jane French currently a Consultant Urologist at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Llantrisant.
